About Wadi Tours

Wadi Reizen did not begin with a business plan, but with a remarkable encounter. During one of her journeys, Istra met Adil, a local guide from Muscat. What started as a conversation along mountain roads grew into a collaboration that today forms the foundation of Wadi Reizen. Later, Istra met Hamid, a Moroccan guide with whom she also felt an immediate connection and desire to collaborate. Through this partnership, Wadi Reizen expanded its offering to Morocco.

Istra has travelled through both countries with great joy. The history, nature, colours, and language all make Oman and Morocco captivating destinations. Yet it is the warmth, hospitality, and curiosity of the people that have stayed with her most deeply. She is passionate about sharing this experience with her clients.

Adil knows Oman like the rhythm of his own heartbeat. The stories of his family, the traditions of the villages, the hidden paths through mountains and wadis—he carries them with him and shares them with pride. For more than ten years, he has welcomed travellers from all over the world, showing them the diversity and kindness of his country.

Hamid is a versatile guide with extensive knowledge of flora, fauna, history, and religion, which he shares generously. He also leads hikes and cycling tours at all levels, guiding travellers with energy and enthusiasm through Morocco’s diverse landscapes.

Istra complements this with her experience as a traveller and tour leader. Having travelled extensively through Oman and Morocco, she knows these journeys inside out. Her experience in guiding ensures trips run smoothly, feel relaxed, and are truly meaningful. She enjoys creating tailor-made journeys, taking the time to think along with clients and design the ideal trip for them.

Wadi Reizen aims to offer more than a standard tour. It is for travellers seeking authenticity, personal attention, and carefully crafted itineraries in which balance between rest and adventure is key.

As a member of the Environmental Society of Oman, Wadi Tours contributes to the preservation of Oman’s unique and diverse natural environment. Through research, public education, and environmental activities, ESO is a leading environmental organization in Oman.

If an emergency occurs during your trip—such as a natural disaster or other event causing significant disruption—necessary additional costs are covered by the Emergency Fund. Should Wadi Tours need to alter your trip or arrange an early return, a portion of your travel cost will be refunded thanks to our membership in the Emergency Fund.
